CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you're heading to the airport this morning, hold on, our "Eye on the Sky," Travelocity air traffic expert Rally Caparas is here to tell us about possible delays.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Possible delays, definitely possible delays.

Good morning, Carol.

Well, folks, it's going to be more than just possible delays, we're going to have significant delays today. Here's what's going to happen for you.

In the northeast, New York City Metros today, you'll see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays early. The weather is pretty good, but the weather to the west is going to block some routes. It's going to slow things down this morning. Later on in the afternoon and evening, the weather pushes in on the East Coast, 60-minute arrival and departure delays, en route thunderstorms. You could even see some wet stuff yourselves. Be prepared.

A little further south, Philadelphia and the D.C. Metros, they're delay free early, but they will also see 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays later on as en route thunderstorms limit routes all along the eastern seaboard.

Down in Charlotte this morning you can barely see down the runway a couple of hundred feet. That means 30 to 45-minute arrival delays until later on this morning. It will slow you down. Nothing major. It should clear up by the evening rush. Good times thereafter.

Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati-Covington, all of them are in ground stops right now. Chad showed you the weather. Thunderstorm activity limiting routes all throughout the area. That means you're going to sit on the ground if you're headed into those airports or if you're headed out of those airports 45 minutes. It could go to 60 minutes. Should improve a little bit later on in the day, but you can expect some related delays even though the weather improves at those locations.

Chicago O'Hare, the weather is moving, but they're still going to see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays for flights to and from the east for the same reasons that Detroit, Cleveland and the rest are seeing delays.

And then on the West Coast, San Fran, once again you'll see 30 to 45-minute arrival delays, the marine layer fog. It'll burn off by about 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time. On-time schedules thereafter.

I'll be back in the morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky" -- Carol.

COSTELLO: And we look forward to it. Thank you -- Rally.

CAPARAS: Thank you.
