CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Let's go back to the audiotape now and get some reaction from Baghdad and also get some reaction to the death of Saddam Hussein's two sons from Baghdad.
Rym Brahimi is in the Iraqi capital city. She joins us live now.

Good morning -- Rym.

RYM BRAHIMI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning to you.

Indeed, well, now all of the celebratory reactions have died down. There was a lot of celebration in the streets yesterday, a lot of gunfire, as you know. But now, of course, there's immense relief across (UNINTELLIGIBLE) of the entire Iraqi capital. People are certainly happy that the two cubs, as they were known, Usay and Qusay Hussein, are gone.

But now, there are a few questions. First of all, Carol, some people are asking whether this is really, really happening. Some people are still in disbelief, and they say that they want to see a picture of those two bodies dead before they will actually believe it.

Other people, on the other hand, feel that they've been robbed of the Iraqi people doing justice to those two men themselves. They think the Americans should have just captured them and then allowed the Iraqis to try them and make them pay for the suffering they inflicted on the Iraqi people.

So, it's a little bit of a mixed reaction. The relief, however, is unanimous -- Carol.

COSTELLO: Any word from -- I know it's early and we've just got this audiotape with the voice supposedly of Saddam Hussein on it. Any reaction to that tape? Any surprise that it came out this fast?

BRAHIMI: I don't think people are that surprised. Again, we have to wait a little bit to get a more complete reaction here. But, of course, I think it may have been to be expected. In fact, you know, Carol, yesterday night, when I spoke to some Iraqis after the deaths of the two sons of Saddam Hussein was confirmed, well, some of them did tell me they were afraid there would be revenge attacks or some retaliation. And so, I think people are fully expecting some signs like this tape to come forward or some sort of action to come up in the next few days -- Carol.

COSTELLO: Rym Brahimi live from Baghdad this morning.
