CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Wednesday was a lousy day for air travelers. I don't need to tell you that. You already know that. Will there be a repeat day today, though?
Well, let's ask our expert, Travelocity's Rally Caparas, who's live on the phone with us right now.

Rally, give us the scoop.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Carol, you're right, we've seen three or four days of the worst conditions that we've seen all year long. But today, a break for everybody, much improved conditions across the country.

This morning, Boston, New York City Metros, they're going to see something they haven't seen in quite some time, delay-free starts. But later on this afternoon, the weather system is still sitting off the coast, you could still see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays. Some low clouds and scattered thunderstorms could still be a problem, but we won't see the delays two, three and four hours that we've seen over the last few days.

Philadelphia and the D.C. Metros, you can expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays this morning. Some low clouds and fog, but it will be delay free by the midday hours, so excellent news there.

Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, delay free right now, but typical thunderstorm activity will fire off later on this afternoon and evening. Expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays and departure delays at those locations.

Pittsburgh and Cincinnati-Covington, a little bit of fog at the low level, right over the runways right now. Expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays, if you're an early traveler. But by late morning, those things should burn off. The fog should be gone for on-time schedules thereafter.

And then San Francisco and Los Angeles International on the West Coast will see some of that same fog. It'll slow things down by about 30 minutes until about 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time, but there should be no delays for the rest of the day once it's gone.

The entire country looks like we're in store for a very good day for air travel compared to what we've seen.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with an even better "Eye on the Sky" report, Carol, back to you. COSTELLO: We like the sound of that. Thank you, Rally.
