LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Now, let's get some reaction from Iraq to these videotaped bodies of Saddam's sons. It's been broadcast around the world now.
CNN's Harris Whitbeck join us live from Baghdad with that part of the story.

Hello, Harris,

HARRIS WHITBECK, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hello, Leon.

A lot of people here are slowly reacting to the videotape that was seen here on the Al Jazeera television network, also on CNN, those who have access to satellite television. Three lines of thought in terms of reaction -- some people say that they are definitely convinced that the bodies, in fact, do belong to Saddam Hussein's elder sons. Others say they were just too turned off by the whole spectacle, and thought it just was too gruesome, that it shouldn't have been shown, and others are saying that Americans have to get on with it, have to get on towards working toward improving security and access to basic services here.

Now we did hear reports of some religious services. As you know, today is Friday, a day of prayer and rest in the Muslim world. And some clerics, particularly up in Mosul, which is where the raid occurred two days ago, some clerics there calling for revenge attacks, for the people to rise up, to fight the Americans, to resist the American occupation in Iraq.

Also, a very particularly fiery cleric down in an Najaf, which was a scene of anti-American demonstrations last week, also he gathered up thousands of people today to listen to his sermon. No word yet on what he said.

But judging from what he said last time around, one would think he would have a rather passionate reaction to the airing of these picture -- Leon.

HARRIS: You would think so.

Harris Whitbeck, reporting live from Baghdad. Thank, Harris. Be careful. Have a good weekend.
