Tests Confirm Body of Patrick Dennehy

CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Back in the States, in Texas, the Dennehy family is on their way to his apartment to collect his belongings. Hope has died for them. Patrick Dennehy is indeed dead, the Baylor basketball player's body found in a Texas field.
CNN's Miguel Marquez is on the case for us in Waco.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

MIGUEL MARQUEZ, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Dramatic developments in the case of missing Baylor University basketball player Patrick Dennehy. The sheriff of McLennan County announcing that the body found last week is, in fact, Dennehy. The sheriff saying that additional evidence found led them to make the identification.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I am sad to report that it's the body of Patrick Dennehy. I have notified the family of Patrick of this identification.

MARQUEZ: Though the sheriff did not specify what exactly the evidence was, a source familiar with the forensic investigation told CNN that a human head was found in the same area where a badly decomposed body was found last week.

Patrick Dennehy was last seen June 12. His friend and former teammate, Carlton Dotson, was arrested last week and charged with murder. Dotson is being held without bond in Maryland and fighting extradition back to Texas.
