CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: It's been a pretty good start to the week for air travelers. Let's find out what this day holds.
Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas live on the phone with us right now.

Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol.

Well, yesterday started out as we expected, really, really good conditions for most of the country, and today it won't be any different.

From Boston down to the D.C. Metros, even though there will be some -- a little bit of rain down there in D.C., you should see on- time schedules all day and evening long. An excellent treat for people that deserve it, especially based on what happened last week.

Down here in the South, Charlotte and Atlanta airports both delay free. But later on this afternoon and evening, we will see some 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as isolated thunderstorm activity breaks out. It won't be anything major, but there will be some short-term delays.

Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, similar situation, delay free early. And as usual, the thunderstorm activity in the late afternoon and early evening will break out throughout the state creating 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays into and out of those locations.

Memphis airport, we saw earlier the weather is rolling through that area right now. There is some thunderstorm activity actually hitting that part of the country. Thirty to 45-minute arrival and departure delays early, but the conditions should improve by about noon local time and we should see on-time conditions and schedules later on this afternoon and evening.

And then on the West Coast, as usual, you can guess, at San Francisco International they'll see some low clouds and marine layer fog. It'll roll in and create those delays and then roll back out again by about 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time for on-time schedules thereafter.

But overall, Carol, an excellent day for air travel. I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky." Back to you in the studio.

COSTELLO: We look forward to it. Thanks, Rally.
