CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Are you heading for the airport this morning? Well our "Eye on the Sky," Travelocity's air traffic expert, Rally Caparas, is here to tell us about possible delays.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol. Good morning, Carol.

You know a really good start to the week. Last week you saw a little bit different scenario, it was terrible. But this week it's going to change and it's already started.

We're seeing excellent conditions along the East Coast from Boston down to the D.C. Metros. A little bit of rain going through there this morning, as Chad showed you, but it will stay delay free all day long, on-time schedules, another great day in the northeast.

Coming a little further South, down here in Atlanta and Charlotte, it's not so fortunate, things are slow right now, I'm sorry, things are going well right now. The weather doesn't start showing up until midday hour. And then once it starts, we'll start to see a lot of widely scattered thunderstorm activity limiting flight routes. Thirty to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as a result.

Going down into the state of Florida, Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, their typical seasonal thunderstorm activity kicks up later on in the afternoon. Thirty to 45-minute arrival and departure delays there.

And then we go to Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Phoenix and Las Vegas. I-40, basically, is the cutoff point. North and south are going to be separated by a line of thunderstorms from Charlotte all the way west to Las Vegas. It's going to create a problem for aircraft that need to penetrate that boundary. Thirty to 45-minute arrival and departure delays later on this afternoon and evening into and out of all of those major airports and others that I didn't mention as a result of that boundary setting up really, really well during the 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. local time zone times of the day. It's going to be a tough go, folks, be ready for some major delays.

And then San Francisco on the West Coast, 30 to 45-minute arrival delays as a result of marine layer fog. Should be gone by midday hour, on-time schedules thereafter. Not too bad of a day, but it could have been better.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky."

COSTELLO: We appreciate it. Thank you -- Rally.

CAPARAS: Sure.
