CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Time to check on what's making headlines overseas in this morning's Euro Edition.
Let's head live to London again and check in with Hala Gorani -- good morning, Hala.

HALA GORANI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Carol.

Well, Prime Minister Tony Blair of the U.K. is still addressing reporters at Downing Street's monthly news conference, the first since the death of Dr. David Kelly, the government scientist that committed suicide a few weeks ago. Some said it was because of pressure Downing Street had put under him.

Well, the left-leaning "Independent" newspaper is saying Blair must regain the trust of the people or be remembered solely for the death of Dr. David Kelly. A series of pictures of Blair looking relaxed to looking quite stressed out.

Now, Tony Blair, when asked questions about reporters, once the part of the news conference that dealt with things he wanted to talk about was over, reporters asking him questions, of course, about the weapons of mass destruction and the death of Dr. David Kelly, he had continuously referred them back to the inquiry that will take place in the coming weeks and that will look into the death of the scientist.

Now, in other headlines across Europe, and you mentioned it a bit earlier, Carol, there, in your headlines, as well, the wild forest fires that are destroying parts of the French Riviera, not far away from San Trope and Saint Maxim (ph), a forest fire raging there. And this time it has killed tourists, a big problem for the tourism industry, of course, in the south of France.

British tourists, German tourists trapped by the inferno. The pictures are absolutely amazing. In this picture, I don't know if you can see there, look at this cloud. That's part of the coast there. This absolutely huge cloud there, of course, a big problem, an environmental problem and a problem that has cost people their lives, as well.

And a quick word on Tony Blair's son, to finish off. Euan Blair, according to a story in "Daily Telegraph," he got into an accident with a cab driver and according to the cab driver quoted by the "Daily Telegraph," the first thing Euan Blair said, which apparently shows he's more afraid of his mother than of his father, the prime minister, "My mom's going to kill me," walking in a daze, in shock, according to the cab driver. So, it looks like when he gets into trouble, Euan Blair thinks of his mom first -- Carol, back to you.

COSTELLO: As you're right, many of us do.

Hala Gorani, many thanks, live from London this morning.
