CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Time to check in with Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas on the phone.
Any word of delays this morning?

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol. Yes, there are going to be delays once again, but it looks like we're just kind of in a groove right now of a very reasonable weather pattern throughout the United States. The thunderstorms could create a lot more havoc, but here is what's going to happen today.

Philadelphia and Washington, delay free, but then later on this afternoon and evening, we'll see thunderstorms press in against the midAtlantic states and that will create 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays and some of the routes to the west will be blocked by that weather.

Charlotte and Atlanta this morning, we're going to have low visibility and clouds, some fog. That will mean 30 to 45-minute arrival delays early. Then we'll see arrival and departure delays later on this afternoon and evening as thunderstorms, once again, erupt throughout the southeast.

Miami, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale airports all will see their typical seasonal weather pattern, delay free early, then thunderstorm activity blocks routes into and out of most of the airports in the state. That means 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays during the p.m. hours.

Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincinnati-Covington all are delay free at the moment. But as Chad showed you, the weather is moving in towards that area. A delay-free start turns into 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as widely scattered thunderstorm activity block routes in that area later.

And then you have to go all the way out west, there will be some weather throughout the western half of the United States, but nothing major to cause delays. It will be the typical marine layer fog out in San Francisco. Thirty to 45-minute arrival delays as a result. Should be gone by noon Pacific Time. They will have on-time schedules thereafter.

Pretty good day for air travel. I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky." Carol, have a good one.

COSTELLO: You too, thank you, Rally.
