CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Right now we want to head to Iraq. U.S. troops still hunting for Saddam Hussein and former regime leaders. They have conducted many raids this morning. More Iraqis are in custody.
So let's head live to Baghdad to find out the specifics from Rym Brahimi -- hello, Rym.

RYM BRAHIMI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hello there, Carol.

Well, before I get to that, I'd just like to tell you, there's been another flare-up of tension in the west of the country around the area of Falluja, which, as you know, is where several attacks have been conducted against U.S. troops in the past. Now, apparently an angry crowd went into a police station and ransacked the whole place. They started setting fire on cars that were parked in front of there. They also shouted anti-U.S. slogans, saying the U.S. is the enemy of god. Those were slogans that were used actually in demonstrations organized by the Baath Party when it was still in power, before the war.

How, eyewitnesses also say that U.S. troops were targeted by rocket propelled grenade fire. One soldier may be injured, say eyewitnesses, but we have had no reaction so far from U.S. military authorities until now. They say that the U.S. troops fought back and all we know is that a U.S. helicopter dispersed the crowds.

Now, in terms of raids, those raids continue very, very much. The latest we have for now is still in the last 24 hours until yesterday, 17 raids, netting 80 people and seizing a number of weapons and money. But we will bring you an update a little later in the day on what's been happening today -- Carol.

COSTELLO: All right, we appreciate it.
