CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas is here to tell you about possible delays this morning.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Don't let my smile fool you, Carol, it's not a -- it's not a good day to fly.

COSTELLO: Not a good day.

CAPARAS: No, it's not, folks. You've been suffering major delays in the northeast, New York, Boston, Philly, you name it, guess what, it doesn't change today. It's going to be just as bad. Could be worse.

Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and the D.C. Metros today, D.C. much later in the day, but the rest of them, right around noon or so you'll start to see some delays. And it's going to be 60 to 90- minute arrival and departure delays for a whole bunch of you. Be patient, folks, those airline folks have been getting beat up over the last three or four days. It's not their fault.

Charlotte Douglas, 30 to 45-minute arrival delays, low clouds. Poor visibility right now at the airport surface. It's about a half a mile right now, and it's going to stay that way until later this morning. They'll see improved conditions and hopefully better schedules by noon or so.

Atlanta Hartsfield delay free right now. They're going to -- we're going to see a lot of thunderstorm activity here later on. Blocked routes all around the perimeter of the city. Expect 45-minute arrival and departure delays as a result during the p.m. hours.

Tampa, Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports all will face 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays beginning a little earlier than usual. Seasonal thunderstorm activity will start up.

Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincinnati-Covington airports will all see 30 to 45-minute arrival delays because of low clouds and fog this morning. And then arrival and departure delays as those thunderstorms block routes throughout the eastern third of the United States today.

And then Chicago O'Hare, they're delay free right now, but that will change in the p.m. You'll see 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays as the routes become limited, force airplanes to stay away from Chicago while their gates are still occupied.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky." Sold to the woman in the attractive shirt.

COSTELLO: Whatever this -- why is everyone commenting on my shirt this morning?

CAPARAS: It's cool, man, it's cool.

COSTELLO: Yes, sure, right.

Thank you, Rally.
