CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Travelocity's Rally Caparas has his "Eye on the Sky" and his ear on the phone. He is here with us now.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol. You are right, I'm down here in Dallas at the National Business Travelers Association's convention still. And I bet you the people up in the northeast wish they were down here also. The weather has been just awful up there. Today, though, they are going to get a break from the rain early.

New York City Metros, Philly, D.C. Metros and Charlotte, it should -- they should not see any rain until later, but the fog is going to cause a problem. Expect 45 to 60-minute arrival delays as a result. Obscured visibility, more spacing between airplanes, extra holding time and then the thunderstorm activity will kick in later on this afternoon around 4:00 p.m. and so those delays will keep going there so no real relief from the delays.

Atlanta, Tampa and Orlando, they are all delay free right now, but there will be 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as thunderstorms limit flight routes into and out of those major airports later on.

Cleveland and Pittsburgh, they are delay free at the moment, and it will stay that way until the mid-afternoon and then 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays will be problems there also as the thunderstorms limit flight routes in the northern tier of the United States.

Cincinnati-Covington right now, they are already in a ground stop. That means anybody headed to Cincinnati this morning is going to be slow by about 30 to 45 minutes because of low clouds and fog. And then later on it will be thunderstorm activity limiting flight routes, as will Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

And then down in Dallas here in Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston both delay free at the moment. But there are thunderstorms building to the east and that means 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays as thunderstorm activity, limited flight routes, low clouds and rain will disrupt flight routes later on.

The western half of the United States looks like another country, totally beautiful conditions all day long.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky." Carol, back to you.

COSTELLO: All right, many thanks, Rally.
