FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: Well that power outage made traveling quite harry. It was scary, wasn't it?
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: It was awful.

WHITFIELD: Were you traveling this weekend, too?

CAPARAS: Yes, I was. I was in Dallas, Texas.

WHITFIELD: So you got stuck in a few places?

CAPARAS: Fred, I got stuck in Dallas for a long time. Everything was going smoothly on Saturday; however, things started to work out just fine for most people that were traveling.

But here's some news that most of you didn't know. Over the last, well, 24 hours, we saw another power outage at New York's Consolidated TRACON. It wasn't public access kind of news, but it did take place. It caused people four and five-hour delays last night, even cancellations. There are many delays going to be resulting from that today. Here's how things are going to work for you today, folks.

New York Metros, you will see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays despite the fact ideal conditions are going to exist along the East Coast. Catch up from yesterday's p.m. power failure. A lot of cranky people coming to New York, especially if they got caught on the way out. Be ware, stay away from them, they are -- they are pretty upset.

Boston to the D.C. Metros and all the major airports in between will see excellent flight conditions, on-time schedules for most of the day, good news there.

Charlotte and Atlanta, 30 to 45-minute arrival delays this morning because of low clouds and fog, poor visibility. But that will burn off by about 11:00 a.m. Eastern or so for on-time schedules thereafter.

Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports will all see delay- free conditions until later on this afternoon and then you can expect seasonal thunderstorm activity to fire up and those delays will keep going until about 8:00 or 9:00 tonight.

And then San Francisco on the West Coast, just your 30 to 45- minute arrival delay because of low clouds. The marine layer fog, typical for this time of the year, will roll in, roll back out by about noon Pacific Time.

I'll be back tomorrow morning, hopefully, with a perfect "Eye on the Sky" report for you for a change.

WHITFIELD: That would be nice.

CAPARAS: Yes, it would be.

WHITFIELD: OK, well you know work out a few kinks for the early part of the week so tomorrow that's a ron (ph) it will be good.

CAPARAS: Yes, we'll give it a try.

WHITFIELD: All right. Rally Caparas with the "Eye on the Sky," thanks.

CAPARAS: Sure.
