New Shooting Probe in West Virginia

SOLEDAD O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: Turning now to West Virginia, where there has been another shooting at a convenience store. It happened late last night near Charleston. Fortunately, no one was injured.
CNN's investigative correspondent, Art Harris, joins us live from the scene this morning.

Art -- first and foremost, have police determined whether this incident is actually connected to those fatal shootings last week?

ART HARRIS, CNN INVESTIGATIVE CORRESPONDENT: Soledad, they are working it as if they are, to get any leads they can. The same type pickup was seen at two previous murder scenes -- this time, by a 16- year-old girl, who was waiting in line last night about 11:30 to buy something at a Go-Mart, when she turned around doing what people have been advised to do, notice your surroundings, and saw a pickup truck that slowed down. She then turned back to the security window to make her purchase and heard a bullet just barely miss her head.

At that point, they called police. Police took her statement in the town of Dunbar just outside of Charleston, West Virginia, put the word out, and a sheriff's deputy saw a similar pickup on the highway, gave chase, a very high-speed chase, but he got away -- Soledad.
