CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you are planning on heading to the airport this morning, stay right there for just a second, Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas live on the phone with us.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol.

And it's going to be a great morning for those of who that are traveling into and out of New York and Philadelphia. You've seen major delays over the last couple of days, two and three hours on some occasions. But today, excellent conditions, on-time flight schedules all day and evening long. Enjoy it. I have a feeling it's not going to last into tomorrow even.

D.C. Metros, a little further south, not so fortunate, they're delay free early, but they will see some 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as en route thunderstorms block routes, obviously to the west of the coastline there. It won't be anything major, but it will be moderate delays.

Charlotte and Atlanta, poor visibility is going to be a problem this morning, 30 to 45-minute arrival delays as a result. And then later on in the afternoon and evening, Atlanta will suffer continued hays, reduced visibility and en route thunderstorms, mostly to the north and to the west, blocking routes. So expect Atlanta to see lingering delays this evening.

Minneapolis-St. Paul and Chicago O'Hare, 45-minute arrival and departure delays off and on throughout the day, en route thunderstorms, blocked flight routes. Minneapolis-St. Paul will see the weather. Chicago should have decent weather, but there is a possibility of rain entering the picture later on this evening keeping those delays going late into the evening hours.

Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston Bush and St. Louis airports all delay free at the moment. And they'll stay that way until the mid-afternoon hours, then 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays will be a problem. Scattered thunderstorm activity will be limiting flight routes throughout the Midwest -- the southern portion of the Midwest that is.

And then San Francisco International, 45-minute arrival delays. Low clouds, marine layer fog should be gone by noon Pacific Time and then they'll have on-time schedules thereafter. I will be back tomorrow morning with the all-important holiday weekend "Eye on the Sky" report. Carol, back to you.

COSTELLO: You've got that right. Thank you, Rally.
