HEIDI COLLINS, CNN ANCHOR: Now, the very latest on the tropical weather that we've been following this morning. Tropical storm Grace heading toward Texas at this hour. But it is described as a weak system, now, and barely a storm. Storm warnings are in place along the Texas Gulf coast. Rob Marciano here to tell us about it.
Rob, any chance this thing could be downgraded?

ROB MARCIANO, CNN METEOROLOGIST: Just as we speak it's been downgraded. In the last ten minutes. Very good thing.

Winds are beginning to subside. This thing is, generally speaking, heading inland. It has been unorganized all morning long, but enough just to get us on our toes. The center of it somewhere in there. We'll just say it's kind of somewhere in here. The track of this thing, it will continue up to the north and towards the west, but the general concern is going to be the rainfall that comes in on the east side of this thing, and, again, we could see quite a bit of rainfall as we go on through the next 12 hours.

There's the rain again. Maybe four, possibly eight inches of rainfall in this area, and of course we'll watch for that tonight. Tropical storm warnings have since expired, as this thing now downgraded to a tropical depression.

Hurricane Jimena is southeast of Hilo, Texas. If this thing goes any further to the north, then we will talk about an issue here, because we're looking at 105 mile an hour winds, a pretty good size hurricane, not just tropical storm, so we'll watch that.

One more mention on Fabian, which John briefly touched on, it is well out in the Atlantic Ocean, but it is a monster storm at category 3 status. But here's Puerto Rico. Here are the Leeward Islands and Bahamas, so it still has a ways to go. We'll keep you posted on that.

So very active hurricane season, as we thought it would be. Tropical storm Grace downgraded to a tropical depression. But heavy rains and squally conditions expected across the southeast. Heidi, John, back to you.

COLLINS: All right. We'll be watching out for that. Thanks so very much, Rob Marciano, on top of it this morning.
