FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: Well time now for some business buzz. You soon may be able to get a coffee buzz at your bank.
Joya Dass is at the Nasdaq market site with the details full of caffeine this morning -- Joya.

JOYA DASS, CNN FINANCIAL NEWS CORRESPONDENT: Boy, well I'm waiting for my cup of coffee. But in the meantime, if you are a Charter One Financial customer, this is an Ohio-based bank, you're going to be able to get coffee when you go in to make your deposits, because Starbucks is going to be offering coffee in some of the branches for this particular bank.

Now it looks like the first one is going to come as early as this year. The first shop will be in Albany's Charter One Financial and the next one will be in Rochester.

Here is the catch, if you actually work there, your hours are going to be a little bit longer because the bank is going to be open for as long as the coffee shop is open. So that means from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. you're going to be able to go in and make your deposits.

Now on Starbucks end, this is of course part of their strategy since they went public in 1992 to open stores in department stores and supermarkets and the like. In fact, I think I saw one in a car wash not too long ago. And worldwide, I believe Starbucks already has about 6,000 stores. So it's a lot of stores you might -- you might say.

WHITFIELD: No kidding, and I guess the bankers are going to be working longer hours because they are going to get their caffeine buzz to keep them up to be able to work longer hours.

DASS: Or I hope they work in shifts. Or I hope they at least work in shifts, my goodness.

WHITFIELD: Yes, that would be nice. All right, thanks a lot -- Joya.

DASS: You bet.
