FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: All right, let's get our look at the travel picture out there with Rally Caparas, because a lot of folks are starting their business week...
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: That's right.

WHITFIELD: ... in the skies.

CAPARAS: Yes, and it's going to be a very good day for most.

WHITFIELD: Good.

CAPARAS: It's hard to believe that I can finally say one of those statements, but it's going to be a great day to fly, folks. There are going to be some delays, however.

In New York, you're going to see excellent flight conditions, on- time schedules all day, except at, and I don't -- I say New York, really New Jersey. Newark's Liberty Airport, they're under runway construction right now, Runway 422, one of the parallel runways, depending on which direction the wind is blowing they call it 4 or 22, is closed for constructions. That's the long runway. That means you can expect 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays just about all day long. It's going to last until September 28. So keep that in mind if you are flying for the rest of the month, you are going to have some major delays at Newark's Liberty Airport despite the excellent conditions there.

Bermuda, their airport was closed for most of the weekend. Well it's back open again, but it's only for daylight operations. The navigational aids or the systems that pilots use to navigate into and out of the airport are unreliable so they're counting on VFR or visual flight rules. You can only use those at -- in the daytime for contact purposes. Check with your airlines, see what's happening for rescheduling options and the whole bit.

Miami and Fort Lauderdale, the state of Florida is going to see a little bit better weather conditions for most of the state. But on the East Coast there is still going to be some thunderstorms later on this afternoon and evening. Expect 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as a result.

The rest of the country all the way out to San Francisco is going to be beautiful, excellent on-time conditions and schedules. However, San Fran will still see their typical marine layer fog. It will be gone by about noon Pacific Time as usual, on-time schedules thereafter.

Overall, an excellent day for air travel and being on time today. I will be back tomorrow morning with the latest...

WHITFIELD: All right, very good.

CAPARAS: ... "Eye on the Sky."

WHITFIELD: Yes, there you go. All right, thanks a lot -- Rally.

CAPARAS: Sure. You're welcome.
