WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: We do have some happier news to share with our viewers as well about David Letterman, David Letterman, the late night talk show, a funny guy. David Letterman about to become a dad.
Word was released yesterday, reported in today's New York City's tabloids, the "New York Daily News," the "New York Post," we have confirmed it now. David Letterman telling his audience yesterday that his long-time significant other, Regina Lasko, is, in fact, pregnant. They are, in fact, according to the reports, talking about a possible wedding.

But David Letterman at the age of 56 is about to become a daddy.

Paul Shaffer, his long-time sidekick on the late show, said if this doesn't soften you up, nothing will.

Good work for David Letterman.
