CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Now it's time to check on what's making headlines overseas in this morning's "Euro Edition." Tony Campion live in London.
Tony, good morning.

TONY CAMPION, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning to you, Carol.

Remember David Blaine? People around here seem to know who he is by now. We told you, and it was funny at the time, people have been throwing eggs at him, waiving burgers, all that kind of stuff. That's old news.

Getting a bit more serious. I guess it's probably still funny, but you've got to feel a bit sorry for the guy. David Blaine, the headline in "The Sun" today, where are the cops, is what he was shouting in the middle of the night.

What happened is a guy come off a night shift, a cleaner, and one of his friends said to him, I want to read to you from "The Sun," I bet my mate that I could get to David Blaine quicker than he could. The next thing I knew, he was on the top of the tower. He got a ladder. He scaled up the tower that's next to David Blaine's box, started rocking the cables, throwing water bottles at Blaine. I mean you know is this still funny? I don't know, you tell me. It's getting a bit beyond the pale, isn't it really, but nonetheless, "The Sun" is finding a way to make it amusing.

Let me just see if I can find a cartoon for you in the leader (ph). You're not going to be able to see exactly what's going on here, but this is -- this is a box. We're not going to say whose box. Help police, some scared lunatic is sawing through my cables. He has to be loosing his mind. Guess who's holding the saw, it's the guy in the box. So there's sort of -- sort of sympathy, but it's not -- it's not out and out sympathy for David Blaine.

COSTELLO: So did they...

CAMPION: It's pretty serious. As you said, I mean somebody has actually been arrested over this.

COSTELLO: They have been arrested. I was just going to ask you that, what was done to that nasty man who shook the box?

CAMPION: Yes, exactly. I mean what's -- I mean the guy is a cleaner. He's been arrested and is being -- you know obviously you can't do this. It's against the law. It makes you wonder a bit about David Blaine's own security, though, doesn't it, because he has people there, you know, specifically to look after him against this kind of nutter. And you sort of think well 12 days he's been into this starvation gig and somebody comes. It must be very, very frightening for him. You've got to feel slightly sorry for him.

One or two other stories. Should we move on and talk about a couple of other things that you might be interested in knowing about?

This is -- this is a nice story, actually. Do you remember Ali Abbas?

COSTELLO: Yes.

CAMPION: He was the child from Baghdad, the tragically injured by a U.S. missile, actually, in Baghdad. He lost both of his arms. We saw pictures of him all over the world, you know burned, lying on a stretcher. He was flown out to Britain, actually, by a charity called the Limbless Society, who are fitting him out now with prosthetic limbs.

Here he is, he's running around. He's actually been playing football with the England manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson. Some of you might know who he is and what he looks like. Hello, Sven, can you make me as good as Becks is the headline in today's "Daily Mirror." And you know just kind of nice, isn't it, kind of encouraging to see that he is getting better, and they are going to be fitting out with prosthetic limbs, as I say.

COSTELLO: Well that was great to see. Thank you very much. Tony Campion live from London this morning.
