CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: A lot of people are still stranded this morning. If you have a flight out this morning or you had a flight out yesterday, will you be able to get out of wherever you are?
Travelocity's Air Traffic Expert, Rally Caparas, is here to tell us.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Kind of here. Still reeling from yesterday. A lot -- a lot of activity yesterday, folks. And I know that you're all standing by, bated breath, waiting to hear the news.

If you're headed to New York today, you're still going to see some major delays. Newark still under a runway construction project. There's going to be strong gusting winds. The parallel runway configuration and the crowded airspace will still create major delays there and cancellations. Check on it. Check with your airline before you head out to the airport and make sure you still have a flight today. There are already a very high rate of cancellations this morning. Sixty to 90-minute arrival delays into Newark and LaGuardia throughout the entire day as a result.

Philadelphia, you'll see 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays, low clouds, rain, strong gusting winds. Parallel runway configurations when the winds blow hard. They have to treat it like one runway and it cuts the arrival capacity in about -- by about 50 percent. So be ware.

Baltimore-Washington at this moment is still closed. The power is out. No idea when that's going to come back up. So certainly check and make sure your flight has not been cancelled into or out of BWI this morning.

Reagan National, I know Carol's headed to Washington later today, they are closed at the moment. My understanding is once it gets bright enough outside so they can do a physical inspection of the runways, it's right on the Potomac River, make sure there's no flooding problems with the arrival or departure ends of the runways, they'll be open for business but likely have many cancellations. I've already seen several cancellations there this morning.

Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, they'll see the brunt of the weather today. Strong gusting winds, low clouds, rain, 45-minute arrival and departure delays as a result.

Fortunately, the rest of the country, as long as you are not affected by that domino effect, you should run pretty much on time west of Detroit. Good news there.

Good luck, folks. And I'll be back on Monday with the latest "Eye on the Sky."

COSTELLO: It's always bad when you wish people good luck.

CAPARAS: You got it.

COSTELLO: Thank you -- Rally.

CAPARAS: Sure.

COSTELLO: We appreciate it.
