CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: It's time to check in with Travelocity's Air Traffic Expert Rally Caparas.
You all set there?

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: I had to plug in so I could hear the world behind me.

It's looking pretty good for the aftermath day, I guess is the best way to call it. Back to business and there will still be some -- a lot of people -- you know over a million people without electricity. However, delays won't be nearly as significant as what we saw last week for obvious reasons. There will still be some major delays, however. Beautiful conditions in the northeast.

Newark's Liberty Airport, despite the beautiful conditions, continues to see their runway construction project force a single runway operation. That means 45 to 60-minute arrival delays throughout the day. That construction project is expected to end on September the 28th. But because of the hurricane and the weather and expect delays for the completion. So we'll keep you posted on that.

The D.C. Metros, nice conditions on the East Coast, as Chad has been telling you all morning. However, they will see 30 to 45-minute arrival delays this morning. Low clouds, fog, poor visibility on the airport surfaces right now, but that will improve by about 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Should see on-time schedules thereafter.

Atlanta Hartsfield, this morning coming into the CNN Center, couldn't see the tops of the buildings, 300, 400, 500-foot ceilings. That means 45-minute arrival and departure delays. First, because of low clouds, some misting rain, fog and then later on we'll have some isolated thunderstorm activity limiting flight routes into and out of that major hub. Those delays will continue.

Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati-Covington airports will all see a full day of low clouds, rain, thunderstorm activity, limited flight routes. Forty-five-minute arrival and departure delays as a result.

And then Chicago O'Hare, they have intersecting runways and when you land on one, you have to hold short of the other runway so that they can operate on that one. Well when the wind kicks up and the rain is falling, they can't hold short of that runway. They reduce the amount of airplanes that can land there per hour, hence, you'll have 30 to 45-minute arrival delays into Chicago O'Hare.

The rest of the country looks pretty good.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest "Eye on the Sky." Carol, back to you.

COSTELLO: Thank you, Rally, that was fast.

CAPARAS: Yes.

COSTELLO: And we appreciate that this morning...

CAPARAS: Sure.

COSTELLO: ... because we're running a little heavy as the producers would say.
