CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Time for a little business buzz right now. You might be able to order your non-fat tall cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso and get a doughnut to go along with it.
Let's head to the Nasdaq market site to find out more.

Carrie, this sounds good.

CARRIE LEE, CNN FINANCIAL NEWS CORRESPONDENT: The democratization of espresso. That's what Dunkin' Donuts is calling it, Carol. They are going to start rolling out in September, and by the rest of the summer, some pretty high-end idea drinks similar to what Starbucks offers.

Now Dunkin' Donuts is, of course, from the East Coast, Starbucks is from the West Coast. They are planning to offer espresso-based drinks but competing on price and faster service. This is according to the Associated Press. Dunkin' Donuts is starting to serve a line of espresso drinks they say will be cheaper by about a dollar.

Dunkin' Donuts is based in Massachusetts. Most of the stores are in New England. They say they are not trying to make their stores more upscale, they are just bringing a better cup of Joe to the average Joe. So starting in September in some New England areas and then rolling out to the rest of Dunkin' Donuts stores by summer. So more options for coffee drinkers.

COSTELLO: You know a lot of people think Dunkin' Donuts has the -- has the best coffee right now.

LEE: A lot of people say that. It's sort of old school in a way. They say, some, that Starbucks is a little too yuppified. So it will be interesting to see if people go for these lesser-priced alternatives.

By the way, futures are looking pretty good this morning, Carol. We are expecting a bit of a higher open for stocks after quite a bit of selling yesterday. Brokerages names in focus this morning, Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley all out with profits for the recent quarter. Lehman could be the standout. Profits expected to have nearly doubled from the year ago period.

Back to you.

COSTELLO: All right, we'll keep an eye on them. Thank you, Carrie Lee, live from the Nasdaq market site.
