CAROL LIN, CNN ANCHOR: All right, let's check in with our "Eye on the Sky" here, Rally Caparas. He is Travelocity's air traffic expert. He is going to give us a preview for us travelers for the weekend.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Busy day today, Carol. All Fridays are busy, and today shouldn't be any different. The good news is that in the northeast today very few delays, however, there will still be some delays.

Newark, all that stuff, the runway construction project is basically over, no worries there. But down in the D.C. Metros and Charlotte-Douglas Airport today, you can expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays. Low clouds and fog, obstructed visibility on the airport surface areas. That will clear later on this morning for on- time schedules thereafter. Should be a great travel weekend up and down the East Coast.

Until you get down into Florida, then today, obviously, we're going to see some more thunderstorm activity, low clouds, rain. Thunderstorms will block flight routes into and out of the major -- all of the major airports in the state, Tampa, Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Limited flight routes the problem. Expect it to go on all day long.

Up in the Great Lakes region, Chicago O'Hare Airport, they are delay free this morning, but it's not going to stay that way for long. By about noon or 1:00 Central Time, you'll start to see 45 to 60- minute arrival and departure delays. Isolated thunderstorm activity, low clouds, poor visibility, rain. Wet runways don't bode well at that major airport, so expect lengthy delays into and out of Chicago.

Down further south, St. Louis Lambert Airport, they are already starting to see some rain there. Low clouds, rain, thunderstorm activity, limited routes lead to 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays. That will be a sporadic thing off and on all day, but it will be an all-day affair.

Then all the way out west, once again San Francisco International, they'll see their typical marine layer fog roll in. It'll roll back out again by about noon Pacific Time; but until then, you can expect something like 45 to 60-minute arrival delays.

Outside of those airports, the rest of the country looks like it's going to run pretty good today.

LIN: All right. CAPARAS: I'll be back on Monday morning with the latest "Eye on the Sky" -- Carol.

LIN: Going anywhere this weekend?

CAPARAS: I'm going to get some rest.

LIN: Yes, there you go.

CAPARAS: I've been -- I've been under the weather, kind of, so I'm going to get some more rest.

LIN: Well you take care of yourself.

CAPARAS: Thank you.

LIN: We're so happy to see you this morning.

CAPARAS: Nice to see you, also. Thanks.
