DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Let's get started with our movie business by taking a look at one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Today we are unveiling the new trailer for the latest and last installment in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Here's a look at "The Return of the King."
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VIGGO MORTENSEN, "ARAGORN": (UNINTELLIGIBLE) Frodo (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

IAN MCKELLEN, "GANDOLF": How do we know Frodo is alive?

MORTENSEN: What does your heart tell you?

ANDY SERKIS, "GOLLUM": Come, master. Come (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

LIV TYLER, "ARWEN": It is time. Give him the sword of the king.

HUGO WEAVING, "ELROND": Become who you were born to be.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

KAGAN: Not to add to the hype or anything but some reviewers say "The Return of the King" may be even better than the first two "Lord of the Rings" films. Let's check in with our movie guide to see what he thinks. Russ Leatherman joining us now from L.A. Mr. Moviefone, hello and good morning.

RUSS LEATHERMAN, MR. MOVIEFONE: Well that is fantastic, isn't it?

KAGAN: You know, a movie is big if the trailer is news.

LEATHERMAN: The trailer is news. And you can see it in some theaters this weekend. It's just going to be fantastic. I cannot wait.

KAGAN: Let's look forward entire movies that people can actually go see this weekend. "Under the Tuscan Sun." Based on a very popular book by Frances Mays, starring Diane Lane. Have you seen it?

LEATHERMAN: I have seen it. And it's a nice movie. She plays a divorcee who has been jilted and goes to Tuscany, she gets a trip to Tuscany. And she buys a rundown villa and sort of rebuilds the villa as she rebuilds her life. And it's a (UNINTELLIGIBLE) self discovery and love and all that stuff. KAGAN: Russ, you sound like such a guy. If you like love and romance and nice movies where nothing explodes then you might want to go see it.

LEATHERMAN: Daryn, Daryn, come on. The theater that I was in -- there was so much kind of estrogen floating around the theater, I swear my boobies got bigger and I felt the sudden urge to cry uncontrollably. It was very, very strange.

It's a very nice movie. It's beautifully shot. But it's totally a chick flick. So, guys, you go see it with the ladies and then you take her to see "The Rundown."

(CROSSTALK)

KAGAN: Let's go from boobies to blowing up things. "The Rundown," the Rock. That's a guy, testosterone kind of movie. How is that one?

LEATHERMAN: And by the way, "Under the Tuscan Sun" is a good movie for the ladies.

KAGAN: OK, thank you.

LEATHERMAN: This is, you know, you get the Rock together and Stiffler from "American Pie" and you think how could this movie possibly be good?

This movie is good. The Rock is really good in the movie. It's a fantastic action adventure. It's fun, it's got good action. And I really enjoyed the movie and everybody I saw it with really enjoyed the movie.

It's sort of a surprise. Everybody wondered could the Rock make the transition and the next big step. I think he does in this movie and I think he's really the next action hero.

KAGAN: Wow, sounds like a movie star is born.

LEATHERMAN: I think so.

KAGAN: Two very popular movie stars, Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore. They have a new movie coming out called "The Duplex" (sic).

LEATHERMAN: This is a Danny DeVito movie whose done "Throw Momma From the Train," "Drowning Mona." His last one is "Death to Smoochy." So obviously Danny wants somebody dead for some reason.

In this movie, he wants the nice little old lady who lives up stairs in the duplex dead. And Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore try to figure out a way to systematically get rid of her.

And I've got to tell you, the Danny DeVito movies are really good and they are very dark, but they're funny. He does well with a dark comedy. I thought this was really dark, not particularly that funny. And when Drew Barrymore barfed in Ben Stiller's face I'm out. That's where I got a drink of water

KAGAN: That's when you're out and you're in the next movie theater so you can see "Under the Tuscan Sun" for a third time.

LEATHERMAN: That's exactly right.

KAGAN: You would rather do that. OK, well thanks for the tip. If you were just going to see one this weekend, what would it be?

LEATHERMAN: I'd go see "The Rundown" but the ladies want to go see "Under the Tuscan Sun." So it's a nice trade off.

KAGAN: All right, very good. Russ Leatherman, Mr. Moviefone, thanks for the tips. We'll see you at the movies.
