CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Catching a flight this morning? Travelocity's Rally Caparas is here to tell you if you will have any delays.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good news today...

COSTELLO: Good news.

CAPARAS: ... for a change. Hey, I like doing that once in a while, folks. I know you are tired of hearing me tell you bad news. Well, it's pretty good news for most of the people, especially in the east today. All the way from Boston down to Atlanta, clear, dry conditions, mostly delay free.

A couple of locations that won't be so lucky, though, New York City. The New York Metros, specifically Newark and LaGuardia airports, later on this afternoon, early evening time, you will start to see some strong gusting winds move into the area. Because of the heavy volume and the locality of those two airports to one another, it creates a little bit of a problem for air traffic control, so they have to reduce the amount of airplanes into those airports during each hour. Hence, you'll have 30 to 45-minute arrival delays as a result of the gusting winds. Keep your seatbelts fastened, it could be a bumpy ride at the low altitudes.

Down in Florida, Tampa, Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports, they'll see murky conditions just about all day off and on, some low clouds, rain, thunderstorm activity later on in the afternoon and evening. Limited flight routes into and out of all of those airports throughout the day. Expect 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays as a result.

Chicago O'Hare, pretty good conditions right now. It will stay nice and clear and dry for most of the day, then later on this afternoon, strong gusting winds from the west force a less-than- favorable runway configuration at O'Hare. They too have to reduce the amount of airplanes that land there per hour; hence, you'll see some 45-minute arrival delays there later on. Nothing major, just some moderate delays.

Then on the West Coast, once again San Francisco. Those of you that watch every morning could probably recite it by now, low clouds, marine layer fog will be gone by noon Pacific Time for on-time schedules thereafter. Until then, expect 45-minute arrival delays.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with a similar report in the morning.

COSTELLO: Why come back? No, I'm just kidding.

CAPARAS: There you go.

COSTELLO: We're always happy to see you.

CAPARAS: Thanks.

COSTELLO: Rally Caparas, many thanks.
