HEIDI COLLINS, CNN ANCHOR: The future of the Siegfried & Roy Show is in serious doubt following Friday's tragic mauling incident on stage. Hundreds of well-wishers gathered outside the hospital where Roy Horn, one half of the duo, is recovering from his injuries.
Miguel Marquez has the latest now from Las Vegas.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

MIGUEL MARQUEZ, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Flowers gather here on the Las Vegas Strip at the Mirage where Siegfried and Roy have done their show for 13-and-a-half years. Every flower a wish and a hope that Roy gets better.

His manager says doctors now have "guarded optimism" about his chance of recovery after he was mauled by one of his famed white tigers Friday night during their long-running show. His manager also says Roy is communicating. But after almost 5,800 performances, the show is over.

BERNIE YUMAN, MANAGER, SIEGFRIED & ROY: The Siegfried & Roy spectacle opened February the 1st, 1990. At that time, Siegfried & Roy changed the face of live entertainment in Las Vegas forever. The show, as of now, is closed.

MARQUEZ: As for the 7-year-old tiger Monticor (ph), a spokesperson for MGM Mirage says the cat will be quarantined for 10 days and that the Nevada Department of Wildlife is not conducting an investigation but has requested information about the animal.
