CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: And perhaps nowhere is Arnold Schwarzenegger's victory being celebrated more than in his hometown in Austria.
Our senior international correspondent Walter Rodgers has been in Graz, Austria the last few days witnessing widespread support for its native son -- good morning, Walter.

WALTER RODGERS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Carol.

Well, it's like the local football team just won the World Cup. Everybody here is proud of Arnold Schwarzenegger and whether they knew him or not, they all have their own personal Arnold Schwarzenegger story to tell.

But one of the more interesting ones we've heard is that when Arnold was a young bodybuilder at age 17 -- and we've heard this several times from different people. He went out and he boasted he was going to be the world champion bodybuilder. He boasted he was going to become rich. He boasted he was going to marry a beautiful woman. He boasted that he was going to become a successful businessman and a movie star.

All of these things have come true. The only thing which -- of those boasts that he made which hasn't really come to fruition yet is he said he was going to be the mightiest man in the world. I'm not sure what that means, but this is a man to watch -- Carol.

COSTELLO: All right, Walter Rodgers reporting live from Austria this morning.
