CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Rally Caparas is live on the phone right now, Travelocity's Air Traffic Expert, and he has the early word on flight delays.
Have you ever heard it called Hartsfield Airport -- Rally?

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Well, Carol, no. As a matter of fact, as an air traffic controller, we called it exactly what you just said, Atlanta Hartsfield, or I'm sorry, Atlanta Airport to the airplanes. And that's probably what they'll still call it. I'm not even sure that I've heard it called, what is it now? What's the old name? Anyway.

COSTELLO: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

CAPARAS: Yes. Well, Hartsfield is relatively new to me, even though I was an air traffic controller. But anyway, delays today.

Folks, we promised you a beautiful day yesterday and perfect conditions for flying. Well that's what you got, and most of you were on time or early.

Today it's going to change a little bit. Newark and LaGuardia airports, there's some weather up in the northeast, as Chad told you earlier, expect delay-free starts at those two airports. But later on this afternoon, you can expect 45-minute arrival delays. There will be some low clouds, occasional light rain and the wind. The wind is going to be the problem. Runway configurations don't bode well with strong gusting winds up to about 25 knots. So expect some arrival delays later on this afternoon and evening in the northeast.

Philadelphia, similar situation, delay-free start there, but 30 to 45-minute arrival delays afternoon and evening. Gusting winds will be the problem with their parallel runways.

Miami and Fort Lauderdale, all the way down in the south of Florida, once again they will see sporadic 30-minute arrival and departure delays. Isolated thunderstorm activity will block flight routes occasionally, but it will be very intermittent. It won't be a consistent situation, so no major problems there.

Chicago, Detroit and Pittsburgh airports in the Great Lakes region, all delay free this morning. But later on they too will see some strong gusting winds and you can count on 30 to 45-minute arrival delays as a result into those three major airports.

And then the only airport west of the Mississippi with any problems at all, Seattle-Tacoma, once again, as they saw yesterday, 30 to 45-minute arrival delays. Low clouds, some significant rain out there and then the strong gusting winds. You can count on those delays lasting into the evening hours.

The rest of the country, another fantastic day to fly.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest 'Eye on the Sky.' Carol, have a great day.

COSTELLO: You too. Thank you, Rally.
