CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you are traveling by air this morning, hold on for just a second, it's time to check in with our Air Traffic Expert, Travelocity's Rally Caparas. He is live on the phone with us.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol.

Well, I guess the folks in the northeast already starting to get a taste of winter. Despite the low clouds and some a little bit of snow and some sleet in that region, you won't see many delays. However, Newark and LaGuardia airports in New York City, you can expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays, once again. We've seen that in the last couple of days. Strong gusting winds don't bode well with those runway configurations, the congested airspace, et cetera, so those short to moderate arrival delays will be a problem throughout the day.

Philadelphia, they are delay free this morning and they will stay that way until mid-afternoon, but 30-minute arrival delays are likely during the p.m. hours. Strong gusting winds there too will mess with their parallel runway configuration and limit the hourly arrival rates. So expect short arrival rates, or I'm sorry, arrival delays into Philadelphia today.

From D.C. all the way down to Miami, excellent conditions, on- time flight schedules all day and evening long. And speaking of excellent conditions, the entire interior United States and their airports should see good conditions and on-time flight schedules all day and evening long there, too, so great news for the majority of the United States airports.

Then finally on the West Coast, only San Francisco today. That means, Seattle, you'll get away from the rain and have good conditions. San Francisco, you'll see 30 to 45-minute arrival delays. Low clouds, marine layer fog should be gone by noon Pacific Time, but look out for the strong gusting winds off the coast. You could have a bumpy ride into the airport so make sure you keep your seatbelt fastened.

The rest of the country, absolutely excellent conditions.

I'll see you in the morning. Carol, back to you.

COSTELLO: All right, we appreciate it. Thank you, Rally. TO ORDER A VIDEO OF THIS TRANSCRIPT, PLEASE CALL 800-CNN-NEWS OR USE OUR SECURE ONLINE ORDER FORM LOCATED AT www.fdch.com
