CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Time now for a little 'Business Buzz.' Babysitting your grandkids could be a health hazard. Yes.
Carrie Lee has the story from the Nasdaq market site in Times Square.

And, Carrie, I'm struggling, how is this a business story?

CARRIE LEE, CNN FINANCIAL NEWS CORRESPONDENT: I was kind of wondering the same thing, Carol. But you know the trend here is that more grandchildren and grandparents live together. Grandparents take care of children, so it brings up potentially some child care alternative issues for working mothers. Grandparents obviously love to take care of their grandchildren, but it can be a health hazard.

"The Wall Street Journal" reporting today that Harvard University researchers found a 55 percent greater risk of heart disease among grandmothers who care for their grandchildren. The study didn't exactly pin down a reason, but researchers believe it's added wear and tear on them. It makes sense. The census data shows that the number of children living with their grandparents increased 30 percent from 1990 to 2000, while the total number of children increased only 14.3 percent.

There have been links before of linking depression in grandparents caring for grandchildren, also a tendency to rate their own health status lower. This is the first time, though, anyone has rated a risk of heart disease, so perhaps some alternatives coming down the pike for employers and busy working mothers.

COSTELLO: Hopefully so.
