New Iraq: Weapons Everywhere

CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: The Pentagon hasn't confirmed it, but witnesses say that Chinook helicopter was downed by a shoulder- fired missile. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld did acknowledge the missiles are widely available Iraq, and almost as if on cue, U.S. troops found a weapons cache in Baghdad.
Let's head live to Baghdad now and Matthew Chance.

What did they find -- Matthew?

MATTHEW CHANCE, CNN CORRESPONDENT: I haven't heard any reports about this weapons cache being discovered at this stage, but I'll check up on that and I'll get back to you with the latest on it.

What I can tell you is that investigations are continuing into what caused the crash of this helicopter in a field near the flashpoint town of Fallujah in the west of Iraq. We've said already eyewitnesses said it was a surface-to-air missile that has been fired at that helicopter. It was ferrying U.S. troops to the Baghdad International Airport, where they were planning to go on rest and recuperation, R&R...
