DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Our Russ Leatherman, Mr. Moviefone, in New York City today. But that's OK, we tracked him down to tell us more.
RUSS LEATHERMAN, "MR. MOVIEFONE": (UNINTELLIGIBLE)

KAGAN: We're doing OK. I'm not sure about your audio there, Russ. Try that one more time.

(CROSSTALK)

KAGAN: Your audio still thought you were in Los Angeles. We got the picture from New York.

LEATHERMAN: So did you see "Love Actually?"

KAGAN: I have not seen it. But I have to tell you I am very much looking forward to seeing this movie, so please don't burst my bubble.

LEATHERMAN: This is a great movie.

KAGAN: Is it? Oh, good.

LEATHERMAN: I think it's going to be the romantic comedy of the holiday season. So many stars it's unbelievable. Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, (UNINTELLIGIBLE). I could go on and on.

It's a story about love, actually.

(LAUGHTER)

LEATHERMAN: Oh, yes, good stuff. It's these various love stories that come together all at Christmas. And believe it or not, we're already into the holiday movies.

And it's just a really nice, feel-good movie. So the ladies are going to want to drag their men to go see this romantic comedy. And the men are going to want to go because, frankly, there's a lot of nudity in this movie.

KAGAN: Something for everybody.

LEATHERMAN: There really is something for everybody.

KAGAN: How about that? Well, let's move on to the next movie which is "Elf." I don't know if you saw that but Will Ferrell stopped by here a couple weeks a ago, pushing this movie.

LEATHERMAN: I did see it's good he stopped by because he needs to be promoting this movie that could be the holiday family movie of the season.

KAGAN: Is it good? The clips look very funny and very sweet.

LEATHERMAN: This is a movie I was worried about, right? But this movie is fantastic. And it's fantastic for a lot of reasons. But, one, it's just such a great story.

It's about a baby who gets swooped up in Santa's bag, dragged off to the North Pole with Santa, discovers he's seven feet taller than anybody else there. He goes back to find his real father and goes back to New York to save Christmas.

This movie is good for parents, teenagers, lots of laughs. Real heart warmer movie. I wish him the best.

KAGAN: With "Old School" and now "Elf" Will Ferrell is really kind of coming into his own in his post-Saturday night career.

LEATHERMAN: He really is. In fact, i understand he's got something like eight different movies that he's working on now. And this one is going to put him over the top.

You know, there are a lot of holiday movies coming out including "The Cat in the Hat," family movies that people go to see. I think this is the one to go see.

KAGAN: This is the one. OK.

I want to go to a star of a different size stature. And that's "The Station Agent" with a whole new different type of sex symbol out there.

LEATHERMAN: That's true. It's Peter Dinklage, is the character's name. And he's a small person.

I loved this movie. This is one of those -- it's sort of a slice of life movie. Not a lot of action. But great characters in this movie. It's one of those movies that isn't in a lot of theaters so you're going to have to seek it out.

But I guarantee you, if you go see "The Station Agent," you're going to come out thinking, Wow! I wish all movies were like this. I wish I would enjoy them all so much.

So I can't recommend it more highly. I loved "The Station Agent," I loved "Elf," "Love Actually" is a great movie. So it's a fantastic week for movies.

KAGAN: I don't know what you're drinking there in New York City, Russ. But I don't think you've ever given us three positive movie reviews.

LEATHERMAN: I don't even know how to deal with myself. It's really crazy. I just love everybody. But I love you the most.

KAGAN: Oh, well, thank you.

I do want to know, I want to double dose of Mr. Moviefone this week because you were on a couple days ago talking about the latest "Matrix." How is it doing with its early release?

LEATHERMAN: Well, monetarily, I mean money-wise it's doing fine. This movie is going to be huge, it's going to make all kinds of money.

As far as movie goers go, they think sort of the same thing we talked about the other day. The movie is not as great as certainly the first one, maybe not even as good as the second one. But it's making all kinds of money and people are going to see it because they don't believe us when we tell them, Daryn.

But believe us now, go see "Elf," go see "Love Actually" and go see "The Station Agent."

KAGAN: Excellent. I look forward to seeing all three.

Russ Leatherman, you enjoy your time.

LEATHERMAN: See you next time, Daryn.
