CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Let's talk about what's happening today with travel delays. Travelocity's Air Traffic Expert is here to tell us there will be delays.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: There are already delays, Carol, long ones at that. It's going to be a long day for you, folks, once again. Much like you saw yesterday going into New York, Philly, those areas up in the northeast, very long delays.

As a matter of fact, it's one to two hours already into New York City and Philadelphia. Very strong gusting winds, Chad told you, reaching 45 and even 50 knots in some locations. The runway configurations just can't handle the wind. Any runways that are less than 2,500 apart, you see someone taking off on one runway while you are landing on the other next to it, well, they treat it as one runway. They reduce the arrival rate or the arrival capacity into those airports. It's going to be a similar situation at many other airports.

Boston and the D.C. Metros, those same gusting winds will create 45 to 60-minute arrival delays throughout the day.

Atlanta Hartsfield, even here in the South, we're going to see some short to moderate delays because of the gusting winds of 30 to 45 minutes for the entire day.

Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays they'll see, as Chad told you just a moment ago, there's some light snow. There could be some de-icing later on. With the strong gusting winds, that's going to be 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays.

And then Chicago O'Hare and Cincinnati-Covington, both because of the wind and the poor runway configurations that that wind is forcing on those airports, 45 to 60-minute arrival delays just about the entire day. We could see some relief at those two airports later on this afternoon, but it's not likely.

The West, even though there's some inclement conditions at some of the airports out there, shouldn't see any major delays, not like we say yesterday, at least.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest -- Carol.

COSTELLO: All right, we appreciate it. Thank you -- Rally.

CAPARAS: Sure.

COSTELLO: At least we think we do.

CAPARAS: I know.
