CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you are heading to the airport, hold on for just a second, our Air Traffic Expert Travelocity's Rally Caparas is in the house to tell you about possible delays.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: I like that expert thing, it just makes me feel so good this early in the morning.

Folks, bad news today, you were expecting it, I'm sure. The weather in the northeast is going to cause tremendous, I guess that's a bad word, terrible delays is the best word.

Newark and LaGuardia today will see 60 to 90-minute arrival and departure delays. These delays could double as we get to the evening rush period as the volume will pick up and the weather is likely to worsen as thunderstorms to the south will build, blocking routes into and out of those major airports. Expect those delays to be very, very lengthy, folks. It's going to start very soon and will last well into the late evening hours.

Down in Philadelphia, they will see something in the neighborhood of 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays. Low clouds, rain, p.m. thunderstorms will create the same situation and problems as you heard for New York.

The D.C. Metros and Charlotte this morning, 45-minute arrival and departure delays, a lot of wind. There are tornado warnings in South Carolina and North Carolina soon, and those delays are going to last well into the afternoon and evening hours.

Atlanta and Memphis, fortunately, we'll only see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays early. And then by the p.m. hours, we'll see clearing and on-time schedules at those locations. So well deserved after two days of very lengthy delays here in the South.

And then finally up in the Great Lakes region, Detroit, Cleveland and Cincinnati-Covington will all see 45-minute arrival and departure delays to start the day. It will go away before the p.m. rush, again.

The rest of the country, fabulous weather.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest 'Eye on the Sky' -- Carol.

COSTELLO: But I think terrible was an aft adjective.

CAPARAS: OK. COSTELLO: Thank you -- Rally.

CAPARAS: Sure.
