CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Well hopefully you are heading to the airport for a week's long vacation. That would be a happy Thanksgiving, wouldn't it?
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Yes.

COSTELLO: Yes. Travelocity's Rally Caparas is here to tell you about possible delays this morning.

CAPARAS: Good morning -- Carol.

COSTELLO: Good morning.

CAPARAS: Good morning you 36 million folks that AAA says is going to travel at least 50 miles from home and 5 million of you that will be hitting the airwaves. Starting today, we will see some delays and the weather is not going to cooperate to start this very busy week, folks. It's going to be a little slow in the Midwest and towards the East. Here's how it's going to break down for you today.

D.C. and Philadelphia airports today, you'll see 30 to 45-minute arrival delays early because of low clouds, fog, about three-quarters of a mile at Philly right now. That will burn off by about midday and then you'll get a break from the delays. But then low clouds and rain will return to the region later on and those delays will return with that so expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays off and on throughout the day on the East Coast.

Atlanta and Orlando airports this morning both having low clouds, some rain, poor visibility. Along with that, expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays. But the p.m. hours will bring some clearing and on- time schedules to both locations, so good news here in the South.

Detroit, Cleveland and Cincinnati airports, 45-minute arrival delays are going to be -- actually, arrival and departure delays will be the case throughout the day. Low clouds, rain, very strong gusting winds will cause a very bumpy ride later on, so keep your seatbelts fastened for safety. And also be prepared for moderate delays in the Great Lakes region.

Chicago O'Hare and Midway, a little bit worse out there, they will see 60-minute arrival and departure delays. There will be light snow, poor visibility, strong gusting winds, poor runway configurations, departure flight de-icing. It's going to be a rough one into and out of Chicago.

And then Minneapolis-St. Paul, they got hit hard with the snow yesterday. It's not so bad today, but they'll still see 45-minute arrival and departure delays as there will still be some early snow, departure flight de-icing. But we'll see improved conditions and schedules later on this afternoon in time for the evening rush.

The West not even a factor today.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest 'Eye on the Sky' -- Carol.

COSTELLO: All right. Thank you, Rally, we appreciate it.

CAPARAS: You are very welcome.
