CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Let's check in with our 'Eye on the Sky' right now, Air Traffic Expert Travelocity's Rally Caparas.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol.

Folks, if you are watching television this morning, you are going to have to listen closely, because I have some tips for you this morning, but our graphics seem to be having a little bit of a problem. So here we go.

I have three major tips for you. The Transportation and Security Administration, the folks that get you through the security process at the airports, have contacted me and they asked that I relay these tips to you. Think of it as a very simple three word phrase, in, out and off.

The in part, all metal objects, place them in your carry on items as you are going through security. Jewelry, bracelets, those types of things. Laptops, take them out of your bags. That's the out. And then take your coats, layered clothing off, and include your shoes in this, folks. I've seen many people have to stop in the security line. So in, out and off. Those three tips will get you through security and save millions of people. And when I say millions, there are five million people expected to go through the airports over this long holiday weekend for Thanksgiving and it will make everyone's trip a lot smoother at the security lines.

Now as far as travel delays today, from Boston all the way down to Miami, you are in for a treat. It doesn't happen very often on a busy travel day like today and tomorrow will be. Boston to Miami, excellent conditions, on-time flight schedules all day and evening long. Chad has been showing you the weather. It's going to be a beautiful, but cold, day in the east.

Chicago O'Hare in the midsection of the United States, delay-free start there. However, you can expect 45-minute arrival delays as strong gusting winds will force a less-than-favorable runway configuration. We could see those delays double when we get to the peak periods later this evening.

And then finally on the West Coast, only Seattle-Tacoma, again, will see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays, low clouds, rain, strong gusting winds. But overall, an absolutely nearly perfect travel day on what is going to be one of the busier days this year. Carol, I'll be back tomorrow morning in the studios with you keeping people advised as to what to expect throughout the entire day on the busiest travel day of the year. Have a great one. I'll be back tomorrow.

COSTELLO: All right. And we look forward to that. In fact, we're going to tease it once again. For those of you planning to travel this Thanksgiving season, we will be here to make sure you get there. Beginning at 6:00 a.m. Eastern tomorrow morning, we'll update your holiday travel and your weather forecast every half hour. So be sure to tune in before you go.
