CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: We want to talk a little bit about Iraq right now. U.S. troops operating north of Baghdad have detained two family members of one of Iraq's most-wanted men.
For more on that story, let's head live to Baghdad and Walter Rodgers.

Hello -- Walter.

WALTER RODGERS, CNN SENIOR INTERNATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Carol.

There is a certain rationale for the Army arresting two family members of a former general in Saddam Hussein's government here -- the rationale, of course, being that perhaps in questioning the wife and son (sic) of Izzat Ibrahim al-Duri that perhaps they can get some information on his whereabouts. Recall, he is No. 6 on the Pentagon's most-wanted list. There is a $10 million price tag on his head.

There is the additional possibility that perhaps in taking the wife and daughter into custody that perhaps under those circumstances they might be able to pressure al-Duri to turn himself in.

Also, by the way, arrested was the son of al-Duri's doctor. Now, this is another pressure point to squeeze al-Duri to perhaps turn himself in -- the reason being Izzat Ibrahim al-Duri is said to be suffering from cancer. He needs blood transfusions every six months. He is not a well man.

So, again, they appear to be squeezing -- the Army appears to be squeezing al-Duri at every point.

Part of the problem is, we're really not sure which of al-Duri's wives it was that was taken into custody, and it would be more helpful if we knew that. We just don't at this point. The Army is not giving us that name -- Carol.

COSTELLO: Yes, they're pretty tight-lipped out there, aren't they? Walter Rodgers reporting live from Baghdad this morning.
