CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Time for more 'Business Buzz.' For video game fans, there will be no shortage of new titles to choose from this year.
Carrie Lee has the latest on the hottest games this holiday season live from the Nasdaq market site.

What are they -- Carrie?

CARRIE LEE, CNN FINANCIAL NEWS CORRESPONDENT: There are quite a few, Carol, 250 new video games slated for this holiday season. Let me give you a couple of examples here, a lot of different categories. Everything from games based on big Hollywood movies, to dance parties, to kid-friendly genres.

Lord of the Rings, a new video game here from Electronic Arts, is going to debut to coincide with the release of the movie, "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King." Also, War Games will be popular this year reflecting the times. Gammers can fight terrorists with Xbox's Counterstrike. And karaoke fans won't be left out, Microsoft's Xbox Music Mixer is one example. Also, Sony has a Dance, Dance Revolutions game where you can kind of get your groove on, Carol.

Now the consoles themselves haven't really changed that much. The good news here, prices are coming down. The cheapest one these days, Nintendo's Game Cube, recently reduced to 99 bucks. Of course you have to buy the games to go with it. A lot of options, though, for people this season.

COSTELLO: What is this Dance, Dance get your groove on thing?

LEE: I haven't seen it exactly, but I think it's similar to, have you ever seen the Britney Spears where you can kind of do the moves along with her? I think it's something in that genre.

COSTELLO: Yes. Yes.

LEE: So certainly appealing to some people.

COSTELLO: Certainly so.

Quick look at the futures.

LEE: Things look pretty positive this morning. Looks like stocks could open higher. We have a slew of economic reports coming out today, crunching it into the shortened week. We have seven reports coming out. H&R Block is one stock to watch, reporting a second quarter profit for its first time ever. The stock was up over 3 percent last week.

Of course the markets are closed tomorrow, shortened to a 1:00 close on Friday. But so far, things looking like a positive open. And it's been a good week for stocks so far. Typically this is a positive week for stocks, historically speaking.

Carol, back to you.

COSTELLO: All right. Carrie Lee live from the Nasdaq market site.
