CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you are off to the airport this morning, hold on, our Air Traffic Expert Rally Caparas from Travelocity Business is here to tell us about delays.
RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Yes, ma'am. You remember the theme from "Jaws" that kind of went dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, and then all of a sudden?

COSTELLO: Yes. Oh no!

CAPARAS: Well, that's what you'll be hearing at a lot of locations today, folks, but you won't actually hit the climax of that event until, like Chad told you, tomorrow and then the next day. So today, pretty good conditions across the United States at most locations, especially along the East Coast.

At Newark and LaGuardia, delay free this morning. And it will stay that way until later on in the evening when the volume picks up and we will still see some 15 to 20-knot winds force some arrival delays. Expect 30 to 45-minute late times getting into to those two locations later this evening. But until then, things should run smoothly.

From D.C. down to Miami, excellent conditions. Once again, on- time flight schedules. Miami is going to get some bumpy rides at the lower altitudes. It's going to be real windy, but it doesn't really mess with their configurations. It's from east to west and west to east and that's how their runways run. So expect on-time schedules there.

St. Louis Lambert, however, they will flirt with some major delays. I expect only 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays. Low clouds. There's light snow falling right now. There will be some departure flight de-icing as we go through the day. Those delays could double if this thing starts to dump some heavy snow later on in the day. So beware in St. Louis.

Houston's George Bush, south coast of Texas, a little foggy this morning. Temperature and dew point are right at the same point right now. Expect 45-minute arrival delays. It should burn off later this morning in the Central Time Zone for on-time schedules during the evening.

And then San Francisco, they too will see some 45-minute arrival delays because of marine layer fog. Should burn off by noon or so Pacific Time. On-time schedules thereafter. A pretty good day overall for the nation's air traffic today. I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest 'Eye on the Sky' -- Carol.

COSTELLO: All right. Thank you, Rally, we appreciate it, as always.

CAPARAS: You are very welcome.
