CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: We have some new video to show you this morning out of Cincinnati. It shows that 350-pound man dancing and marching like a soldier at a White Castle restaurant shortly before employees called police. You know what happened next. Nathaniel Jones was beaten by police and later died.
So, there are more questions this morning. We turn to our Ed Lavandera in Cincinnati.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ED LAVANDERA, CNN DALLAS BUREAU CHIEF: Cincinnati police hope that the latest video images released will help explain why the officers involved in the altercation with 41-year-old Nathaniel Jones acted the way they did.

The video images show Nathanial Jones driving into the White Castle parking lot and acting bizarrely, at one point walking inside the restaurant, dancing around, hugging an employee that he knew there, also walking outside into the parking lot and marching like a soldier and bumping into a wall and falling over. That's when employees at the White Castle restaurant became startled and called for help.

Paramedics showed up. And then a short while after that, two police cars showed up. And at one point on the video, you see one of the officers go to the back of the police unit and pull out an orange bag, which authorities here say contained less-than-lethal weapons that could be used to subdue a subject.

Now, at that point also, Nathaniel Jones lunges out of one of the video images, and that's when they say the deadly altercation took place.

CAPT. VINCENT DEMASI, CINCINNATI POLICE DEPARTMENT: Had Mr. Jones followed their commands, you know, it certainly could have been a quite different outcome. But clearly, from what we can see, Mr. Jones is the aggressor in this particular case.

LAVANDERA: The medical examiner here in Cincinnati also says that traces of cocaine and PCP were found inside Nathaniel Jones' car. A full autopsy report could be released as early as Wednesday.

Ed Lavandera, CNN, Cincinnati.
