CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: It's time to 'Pack Your Passport.' Many of you fly overseas on business on Thursdays. Hopefully you are going to Europe for pleasure, though.
Jenny Harrison is here with the travel forecast for Europe.

It's nasty in France, but nice in other places.

JENNY HARRISON, CNN INTERNATIONAL WEATHER: Very, very nasty in France. I probably ought to just say a little bit about that. If you are heading to that part of Europe in the next couple of days, severe flooding. Marseilles (ph), that whole region of the Rome Valley (ph), is -- has been recognized as a disaster area.

COSTELLO: So if you are going to wine country, watch out.

HARRISON: I would say so, yes. But having said all that, as you say, there is always some good weather out there. And I don't know if you remember last time I was here with you, I was saying that perhaps I should look at doing a bit of a golfing forecast for those of you, those avid golfers out there. Let me tell you, mad golfers, given the weather in some parts of Europe. So perhaps I'll get on and show everybody exactly what is in store.

So 'Pack Your Passport,' and of course, pack your golf clubs, too. That's always a bit of a helping start, isn't it?

Now crossing Europe, as I say, there is some very, very mixed weather. But of course even this time of year across the Mediterranean, we also tend to see some pretty good weather conditions across in the Mediterranean, southern regions in particular. But of course with all this rain across much of France, it is a bit of a different story.

Now first of all, we are starting out pretty close to my hometown actually, to Belfry. I know you would have heard of The Belfry. And this is obviously a very -- well, it's actually not far away from Birmingham and the second major city in England. But also, the whole idea of doing this golfing forecast for you is that perhaps if you are the golfer and you have a partner who isn't a golfer, maybe there are some other areas they could go and visit while you are on the golf course.

Now the weather generally for The Belfry over the next few days is getting better and better, certainly by Sunday, but you will notice the overnight temperatures beginning to drop. Now as I say, The Belfry is also pretty close to Stratford-Upon-Avon. That is my hometown, you know. That is -- that, of course, is where Shakespeare comes from. Royal St. Lytham, Royal St. Annes, this, of course, is the northwest coast up near to Blackpool. Again, weather conditions pretty good and certainly some good sunshine on Sunday.

And now from there we can head actually up to Scotland, Gleneagles, St. Andrews. Both of these courses are relatively close to each other and both, of course, not that far away from Edinburgh. So a bit of a day trip there for you. But all I will say here, when it comes to the overnight hours and the early morning hours, if you have an early tee time, I would bundle up, because the temperatures are plummeting well below freezing, although winds won't be too bad, fairly light winds.

But a different story across into the southeast of Spain, some pretty blustery conditions here throughout much of the weekend and some fairly mixed weather. So although Scotland is well to the north, I would say it's really your best bet for the next few days, anyway. There is some rain in La Manga on Sunday in the southeast of Spain.

And then across into Portugal, again, fairly mixed weather. Certainly on Friday some thunderstorms, but looking very nice on Saturday and Sunday.

So hopefully you see, Carol, something there for everyone, not only for the golfer, but also for whoever is accompanying the golfer.

COSTELLO: It all sounds great to me, except for that weather in France.

Thank you, Jenny, we appreciate it.
