DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Terrorism concerns are also resonating in the U.S. from officials are studying a videotape that appeared on an al Qaeda-linked Web site. The video shows terrorist training, and the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, but it's from an angle not previously seen by the public.
Joining us by phone to discuss the tape and its implications Caroline Faraj of CNN.com-Arabic.

Hello.

CAROLINE FARAJ, CNN.COM-ARABIC: Hi. Hi, Daryn.

KAGAN: What can you tell us about this specific tape?

FARAJ: Well, this tape, Daryn, as you just mentioned right, now, it contains a lot of old shots, but some of them were basically shown for the first time and from a different ankle. The most important thing would be in any way related to the situation in the U.S. is a basically a new angle shot that was taken for December 11th.

The tape also includes a lot of interviews and praising those who believe to be one of the 19 people who are wanted and they are behind the explosions of the blast that took place in Riyadh last May. However, there's no mention in this tape about anything that deals with the latest blast that took place last month. The other thing is, that they have got several old interviews, old shots for Osama bin Laden, the head of al Qaeda, showing him basically encouraging others for jihad and saying that whatever you hear from people saying killing innocent and civilians is a mistake, this is not true. The religion says that you should be killing all those Jews and Christians who are invading your country.

So basically these interviews and these shots in this tape, this time, was mainly targeting the Saudis and encouraging them as if they were basically a recruiting new stuff, they are in need for recruiting this stuff.

KAGAN: And besides talking about targeting Christians and Jews, any specific new threats on that tape, Caroline?

FARAJ: There was nothing in specific. It was basically adding things and telling them that you should be continuing your mission. The main message was to continue jihad and to continue the mission by basically freeing your country. This at the message for them. And also they did not rule out the possibility of even going to the other, quote, unquote, invaders, according to them, meaning the Americans to them, and even going to their countries. There was no clear threat in this message.

But if you want, Daryn, we can also relate this to some of the Web sites that we believe they are also related to al Qaeda and other Islamic sides, in which they are calling on recruitment, and also calling on financing more jihad attacks, and mainly they are encouraging people and threatening that the big attack, quote, unquote, all the time, the big attack is very soon. So it might be in a way related to each other. But in this tape, in specific, there was no mention at all -- Daryn.

KAGAN: Caroline Faraj, CNN.com-arabic. Thank you for that.
