CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you are traveling today, it might be a really ugly day. So let's track -- check in with our Air Traffic Expert Travelocity's Rally Caparas. He is live on the phone.
So there is a big backup in air travel. Will that affect our plans this morning?

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Well, Carol, it's not going to be nearly as bad as you might expect. Yesterday was a great make up day for the airlines to get their equipment to the locations they were supposed to be at. As you know, hundreds of flights were canceled as a result of the snowstorms over the weekend.

But today, up in the northeast, Boston will see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays. There are some strong gusting winds up there, about 25 knots or so. A very bumpy ride to start the day. By about noon or so Eastern Time, schedules should get back to normal and on-time schedules will be the norm for the rest of the day.

From New York City all the way down to Miami, those conditions will prevail and they should see excellent flight conditions, on-time flight schedules all day and evening long. A reprieve from those nasty delays and cancellations we saw over the weekend and the end of last week.

Chicago to Houston, similar conditions, good conditions. On-time flight schedules all day and evening long. Everybody east of the Mississippi looking great today.

Then we go to the west, Denver and Salt Lake City, you will see 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays, some low clouds, snow, blowing at times, departure flight de-icing, hence, you will have those short to moderate delays.

And then finally Las Vegas McCarran Airport, they will see some very strong gusting winds, blowing dust, poor visibility. Fort-five- minute arrival delays as a result. But the rest of the west looks fabulous. An excellent make up day today. And tomorrow it looks like it will be similar.

I'll be back in the morning with the latest 'Eye on the Sky.' Carol, back to you.

COSTELLO: All right, we appreciate it. Rally Caparas live on the phone with us this morning.
