CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Here is an intriguing idea: the Israeli government building a secret underground bunker in Jerusalem?
We want to get more details from our senior international editor, David Clinch. Really?
DAVID CLINCH, CNN SENIOR INTERNATIONAL EDITOR: Yes, Carol. Well, it's not secret anymore, is it?
COSTELLO: No.
CLINCH: This was just an intriguing thing over the weekend. You know, we're busy covering the talks with Palestinian militants in Cairo that fell apart. The road map is going nowhere, looking at that.
And then, interestingly, on Sunday night in Israel, Channel 10 shows video of what it says is -- again, at the time before they showed this -- secret construction of a bunker in the hills around Jerusalem. They didn't reveal its precise location, but that's not a very big area, the hills around Jerusalem, which they say -- and, again, it's a media report, so it's not confirmed -- will house, in case of an emergency or a war situation, the Israeli government. Interesting enough.
It's sort of worrying -- you know, you always think of the Israeli government knowing everything and having this great intelligence -- sort of worrying to think that perhaps they know something we don't. But at the moment, it's just a media report. There's some interesting...
COSTELLO: Well, it's not unusual for governments to have it. I mean, aren't there bunkers in Washington?
CLINCH: Yes, absolutely. And I suppose in some ways you would think the Israeli government would already have a bunker.
COSTELLO: Exactly.
CLINCH: But perhaps they're building another one. Again, a media report; not confirmed yet. The Israeli government is unlikely to comment on that story, but some interesting pictures there.
And, again, you know, the important side of this story, the Palestinian militant talks collapsed, no cease-fire there. What's next on the road map? We will be reporting that during the day today. And then, of course, really the biggest story over the weekend globally: Miss Ireland wins Miss World. I know you didn't miss that one.
COSTELLO: Oh, yes, the lady in purple, who is the daughter of the man who wrote "The Lady in Red."
CLINCH: She is the daughter of Chris DeBurgh, who wrote and sang "The Lady in Red" -- very interesting. You know, I visited where he lived in Ireland when I was growing up. He lived in a castle in Ireland.
COSTELLO: Can you guess that David was born in Ireland?
CLINCH: And she grew up in this castle in Ireland. So, she is a princess, born and bred. So, it's very interesting.
COSTELLO: Oh, and now she's Miss World, so now we really like her.
CLINCH: She is. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist that one. So, there you go.
COSTELLO: Thank you, David.
CLINCH: All right.
COSTELLO: And you didn't mention that Miss USA didn't even place in the top 20.
CLINCH: Sorry.
COSTELLO: Something's wrong with that.
CLINCH: Miss Ireland won.
COSTELLO: Thank you, David.
CLINCH: OK.
