CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Incriminating evidence that could link a suspected kidnapper to a missing North Dakota college student is likely to be released today.
CNN's Jeff Flock has the details from Grand Forks.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JEFF FLOCK, CNN CORRESPONDENT: This could be a big day in the case, because for the first time we could get some sense of the evidence against Alfonso Rodriguez, Jr., the suspect in the abduction of Dru Sjodin -- evidence the government says is extremely strong.

Now, there have been reports, for example, that the evidence includes blood found in Mr. Rodriguez's car that matches Dru Sjodin's blood type. Also that a knife was found in his trunk. Also some question about whether there was surveillance tape evidence that ties him to the mall where Ms. Sjodin disappeared on November 22.

On another front: searching. Yesterday may have been the final good day of searching in terms of weather. The rest of the week it's really expected to go into the deep freeze. We spent a good bit of time with the Sjodin family doing their search yesterday, and authorities announced also that they would not begin their own searching, targeted searching, with sworn personnel to go along with the family search.

We'll watch it. I'm Jeff Flock, CNN, reporting from Grand Forks, North Dakota.
