CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Time for a little 'Business Buzz' right now. Have you tried to switch cell phone carriers in the last two weeks? Well, you may want to wait until the glitches are worked out.
Carrie Lee live from the Nasdaq market site.

You knew there were going to be glitches.

CARRIE LEE, CNN FINANCIAL NEWS CORRESPONDENT: Well a lot of people, Carol, were warning that people who want to switch carriers should wait. And perhaps it's a good thing that a lot of people have done this, because people basically have been citing a lot of problems, mainly delays in transferring.

Remember the number portability rules went into effect over two weeks ago. The Federal Communications Commission says that the majority of the 600 people who have complained so far were citing transfer delays. Of the complaints, over half were about AT&T Wireless, which is the No. 3 wireless carrier.

Now last week, the FCC asked AT&T Wireless to explain its problems. The carrier says it will give the FCC evidence of significant progress in transfers after it fixed a software problems but -- after it fixes software problems.

But still, looks like the problems are going beyond AT&T. Over a couple of days last week, AT&T itself OK'd 4,500 transfers to other carriers, but says of those carriers, only 200 switches have been completed. So suggesting problems at the other end as well. Bottom line, Carol, probably a good idea for people to wait on this if they have not made the switch already.

COSTELLO: OK, we will take your advice.

Quick look at the futures.

LEE: Things look flat to slightly weak for trading this Wednesday. Of course stocks did lose ground yesterday afternoon. The Nasdaq really leading the way lower, trading lower by over 2 percent. The Dow and S&P 500 losing a bit of ground as well. Of course the Federal Reserve deciding to leave interest rates unchanged once again.

Proctor & Gamble today, keep that stock in mind. The company is having an analyst meeting, talking about its growth prospects going forward, among other things. Back to you.

COSTELLO: All right, we'll see you in the next half hour. Carrie Lee live from the Nasdaq market site.
