CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: A truck filled with explosives suddenly explodes, killing at least 10 Iraqis -- that, in Baghdad. Elsewhere, U.S. forces continue to round up insurgents.
Live to Baghdad now and CNN's Rym Brahimi.

Hello -- Rym.

RYM BRAHIMI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hello, Carol.

Indeed, at about a quarter to 7:00 this morning, Baghdad was woken up basically by this explosion in the center of the city. Apparently the truck was speeding through an intersection, and then it collided with a bus and blew up basically before hitting what police believe may have been its intended target, which was a police station located a little further down the road.

We just heard another explosion actually, but it could be ordnance that's being blown up purposely. We'll bring you up-to-date on that as well.

Now, the police say that one suspect has been detained and, as you mentioned, 10 people at least were killed in that blast. Fifteen others were wounded.

Now, this comes, Carol, as you know, about four days after the capture of the former Iraqi president. There have been several areas where there has been some rioting, there has been looting, there's also been demonstrations, all within mainly the so-called Sunni triangle.

There has also been in Samarra, which is located 45 minutes north of Baghdad. The city has actually been sealed off by U.S. forces, who yesterday on several raids ended up netting some 73 people that they suspect were involved in certain operations, including a high-level financier, they say, of the insurgency -- Carol.

COSTELLO: Rym Brahimi reporting live from Baghdad this morning.
