DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Meanwhile, I want to talk about movies, and it is a huge movie. It is huge movie day because part three of the epic trilogy of "Lord of the Rings" is out. For that, let's bring in Mr. Moviefone, Russ Leatherman. Hi, Russ.
RUSS LEATHERMAN, "MR. MOVIEFONE": Hey, Daryn, what's happening?

KAGAN: In terms of movie world, a lot of is happening. Have you seen the movie?

LEATHERMAN: I'm actually a little sleepy because I did spend the night with my movie friend nerds watching "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King." And if you went last night, which a lot of you did, you know that it was a bunch of nerds. But I got to tell you, they stood in line, watched 3 1/2 hours of this movie, and they loved every single minute of it, as did I.

KAGAN: Let's get our final moments in here and talk about it. You say the battle scenes are incredible.

LEATHERMAN: I thought the whole thing was incredible. I really think it's it's fantasy movie making at its absolute best. You know, this movie is not for everybody. There are people who have seen it who have said, Oh, the wizards and -- it's not for everybody.

But for anybody who loved the first two movies, this movie delivers on everything they expect it to. The battle scenes are fantastic. Gollum, the little creature, the psychotic little guy, is unbelievable. Should get a best actor nomination, I think.

And I really thought that Peter Jackson did exactly what we wanted him to do. He took the third movie, he made it better than the second, which was even better than the first. The endings are something that were satisfying to moviegoers.

So as far as these kinds of movies go, I don't think it gets any better than this.

KAGAN: Quickly, we have a clip. I want to take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ELIJAH WOODS, "FRODO": No, Sam! Leave him alone!

SEAN ASTIN, "SAM": I heard it from his own mouth. He means to murder us. ANDY SERKIS, GOLLUM: Never. Smigle wouldn't hurt a fly.

Look. There's a horrid, fat, hobbit who hates Smigle.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

KAGAN: Sam, Gollum and Frodo for those of you not following the movie.

Quickly, Russ. I know Golden Globe nominations come out tomorrow. Do you think this movie will be at the top of the list?

LEATHERMAN: I do, it should be, it almost has to be. This is the last of the three. Peter Jackson was shut out, as was the movie, for the last couple of years.

And for what it is, it doesn't get any better than this. So I really hope to see anymore nominated not only for the Golden Globe, but the Oscars down the road.

I have to say it's 3 1/2 hours long. The only down side is it's 3 1/2 hours. When you get your tub of popcorn get the tub, don't get the bag. And maybe you can use it as a Port-A-Potty.

(CROSSTALK)

LEATHERMAN: I don't know what else to do. It's 3 1/2 hours, Daryn. You got to do something.

KAGAN: Potty break before you go.

LEATHERMAN: There you go, 3 1/2 hours, Daryn.

KAGAN: I know. I'm going to have to go see it.

LEATHERMAN: It's fantastic. If you love these kinds of movies, go check it out.

KAGAN: I will definitely check it out. Russ Leatherman, Mr. Moviefone. Thank you so much for that.
