A Pair to Remember: Celebrity Couples of 2003

CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: They say nothing is more glamorous than a Hollywood wedding. And even though Ben and Jen called theirs off, plenty of other couples made it down the aisle this year.
CNN's Douglas Hyde has more on the coupling and uncoupling of 2003.

DOUGLAS HYDE, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): In 2003, some of Hollywood's leading ladies parted with the main men in their lives. Halle Berry and Eric Benet's trouble marriage is on the rocks, as is Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke's.
Jennifer Garner, alias Mrs. Scott Foley, filed for divorce and found love with co-star Michael Vartan. Sharon Stone's husband, Phil Bronstein, survived a 2001 Komodo Dragon attack. Too bad their marriage wasn't as lucky.
And speaking of attacks, Liza Minnelli and David Gest not only separated but filed lawsuits against each other.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) about you. You're my favorite angel.
HYDE: But it wasn't all gloom and doom in celebrity land, two angels found love with a pair of young devils. Forty-one-year-old Demi Moore and the ubiquitous Ashton Kutcher, 16 years her junior, got tongues wagging with their romance. Not to be outdone, 31-year-old Cameron Diaz traded in boyfriend Jared Leto for a younger model, 22- year-old Justine Timberlake.
Several couples made beautiful music together, including newlyweds Gwyneth Paltrow and ColdPlay's Chris Martin, Elvis Costello and Diana Krall, Bridget Fonda and film composer Danny Elfman and Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra.
"Beautiful Mind" co-stars Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany got hitched, as did castmate Russell Crowe. Another Aussie, Nicole Kidman, has a new squeeze. She's cruised from Tom to rocker Lenny Kravitz. Pamela Anderson is doubling her pleasure dating both Kid Rock and ex-husband Tommy Lee.
"American Wedding's" Alyson Hannigan had one of her own with her former "Buffy" co-star Alexis Denisof. And no love list would be complete without Ben and Jen. Looks like true romance can survive anything, even "Gigli." BEN AFFLECK, ACTOR: I have got a confession, I think we're good together.
